Saint Augustine Academy and Fernando Frisoni Rock Day FOUR of RAFW 2010
In bold red, blacks and whites with theatrical vigor, Saint Augustine Academy and Fernando Frisoni stole the show on Day 4 of Rosemount Australian Fashion Week 2010. The up and coming label Saint Augustine Academy, by uber cool designer Alvin Manalo, cemented cult status in the music and fashion industry. With a true-blood vampire homage, drawing from the 80s punk goth scene in underground Melbourne, the show featured doc martins, skinny suits tailored to perfection, and double denim to die for (Pun intended). Following Manolo's show in the Cargo Theatre, was renowned designer Fernando Frisoni's sexy city sleek. Frisoni set the scene with a long patent red runway, black city scape backdrop, and a strong collection of blacks, whites, pinks and reds... with embellishments of feathers, sheer fabric and skilled draping.
